Overview
Built amidst the lush surroundings of the community's old stadium, the Saint Panagiotis Chapel presents a stunning example of contemporary religious architecture. Built with a timber roof and a single aisle, this chapel boasts an elegant narthex. The saint was martyred in Constantinople on June 24th, 1765, and buried in the cemetery of the patriarchs in the Zoodochos Pigi Monastery in Constantinople. The chapel was inaugurated on August 7th, 2009, by the Morphou Bishop Neofytos, and was made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of Marios Constantinou of Pedoulas. A serene and peaceful place, the Saint Panagiotis Chapel is dedicated to one of the most revered saints in the Christian faith.
